"Isurus" flandricus (Leriche, 1910)
- Oligocene
[Isurus desori flandrica]
____________________________________________________________________________
This Oligocene shark is a worldwide scarce and little known species. Leriche (1910) mentioned and partly figured an associated flandricus tooth set found in the late Rupelian Boom Formation of NW Belgium, consisting of 42 teeth and 69 vertebra (Coll. Delheid).

All figured specimens, some of them still with phosphorite attached on the root, were found in the Early Oligocene, Early Rupelian, Base Boom Clay (circa 32 Ma) in Belgium.
